• Our Professional landscape supervisor has many years of experience, installing numerous award-winning landscapes throughout north central and northeast Kansas.
• Full-time landscape crew members are properly trained and equipped to perform the highest quality work. Crew members are trustworthy and respectful of your property. Security need not be a concern.
• Horticultural Services, Inc. manages your project throughout, and is singularly responsible for your satisfaction.
• We grow virtually all of the plant material that we sell, ensuring that your plants will be hardy and well acclimated. Accordingly, the plants we install are warranted for one full year.
• Our professional nursery and greenhouse production staff use the latest techniques to nurture plants from propagation through harvest and delivery to you.
• The planting process begins with a thorough cultivation of soil in the planting beds. While many landscapers skip this process, we feel it is vital to creating the best growing medium for new plants. Specific soil amendments are added as needed.
• We exercise care to set plants at the proper height in the planting hole, orienting them to a straight, upright position with their best "face" forward.
• All trees are staked securely, anchoring them until their roots successfully penetrate the soil outside the planting hole. A collar of mulch is placed around trees planted in the lawn, to protect trunks from damage by lawn mowers or weed whips. This mulch also insulates the root system while conserving moisture.
• We use only high-quality hard goods. Premium quality cypress mulch, for example, resists decomposition, insect invasion and erosion by wind and water, while providing an excellent medium to enhance the growth and appearance of plants.
• We install mulch in a 2-3'' thick blanket, assuring satisfactory weed control and eliminating the need to add mulch soon or often.
• At job's end, our landscape crews water your new plantings and leave your property in immaculate condition, allowing you to enjoy your new landscaping.
• You will receive thorough verbal and written instructions for care of your new landscaping. Furthermore, you are always welcome to call with questions regarding the care and health of your plants.
